PROGRAMME STYLE A
This programme was run for Specialist Registrars in Urology to help them to establish the skills they need to succeed in their first consultant post.
Inspire Change has experience of working with SpRs in almost every speciality, including Urology, which means that we understand their world and can help them with sound practical solutions and advice. We ran a series of highly interactive workshops covering the following topics:
- Understanding personality types
- Leadership
- Negotiation Skills
- Influencing Skills
In our experience, SpRs are rarely offered an opportunity to discover more about themselves, so we gave each delegate a questionnaire so they can discover what it is that motivates them and other people. In addition, we explored the following:
- How to build constructive relationships with colleagues, GPs and patients, through a variety of different approaches
- How to gain insight into different communication styles and how they can impact on interactions
- How to use a highly rated assertiveness tool to ask confidently for behaviour changes
- How to understand what they need to do as an individual in order to successfully influence outcomes at all levels, even when the going gets tough
- How to create and develop their team and individual action plans, even when they don't feel they are in charge
These workshops can be run in a number of different ways to suit the needs of both client and delegate and create a seamless programme of development.
We operate on a fixed fee for a programme based on the number of KOL's attending a programme and the different workshops we run. In all instances our fees include all pre-course preparation, course materials, liaison and meetings with you and your agency, as required, to clarify training issues, the trainers' required and in some cases help identifying the correct venue and advising on what can and cannot be done to satisfy ABPI rules.
