Inspire Change developed some years ago a unique workshop titled 'Home Strait'. It always featured as one of a selection of workshops in a large programme, but each time was always over-subscribed.
Without doubt, life for a junior doctor is hard. Recently the BMA suggested that 18,500 specialist posts in the UK, which needed to be filled, generated some 34,250 applications. So in short there are too few positions for trained doctors. Home Strait provides a unique opportunity of helping a KOL succeed in securing a specialist post and is one of the most rewarding workshops we provide, because it is so gratifying when they phone to say they have got the job!
Due to the success of Home Strait, we have recently created a 'Home Strait On Tour' programme which can be delivered as an individual workshop at regional locations to targetted KOLs.
In short, delegates start the interview with a presentation, followed by the interview itself. At the end of the interview they get feedback from all of the panel members which comprises real consultants, professors and other key NHS personnel.
The whole thing is filmed, and each delegate gets a DVD of their interview and panel feedback to keep after the course.
Assembling the interview panel, chairing the panel, all filming and logistics is managed by Inspire Change. It really is an easy and effective programme to implement for a Pharma marketing team, and one that is sure to engender a strong relationship with the KOL and Pharma company supporting the educational programme.
